There is much excitement in the remote village of Palghar, as the Zilla Parishad School in Borichapada, Sonave is getting TWO new classrooms constructed for Std IX and Std X by NDF.

The school is empowered only upto Std VIII and the children have to walk approx 5-6kms everyday in order to complete their basic SSC education, which has led to a lot of dropouts especially girls.

With the newly constructed classrooms and NDF's initiative to run Std IX and Std X in the village, it is our hope that the children will receive a good education and are empowered and guided to better things in life.

This is the first school in the village that will be empowered upto SSC.

Classroom walls coming up which will empower generations to come

This is the first school in the village to be empowered upto Std X. Till now students had to travel to the neighbouring village to complete their std IX and std X.
