Nargis Dutt Foundation Mumbai has set up a Dialysis Centre, a first of its kind in Sogam to treat poor patients suffering from renal problems. The center includes dialysis machines and an RO plant.

Through this Dialysis Center, which is set up in the Sub District Hospital (SDH) in Sogam, will touch the lives of the poor and underprivileged patients in Kupwara and surrounding 74 districts within 24 kms, covering population of more than 5 lakhs. The center will be helpful in treating patients in their home town without travelling to Srinagar, which is approximately 120 kms away. The patients are mostly agriculture and daily wage workers.

On behalf of Nargis Dutt Foundation, Trustee Nikita Padora visited and inaugurated the center on 9th January 2019.
