Our women empowerment project in Stok Village in Leh Ladakh is making a difference.

Woolen caps, chesters, sweaters and shawls were knitted and donated to approx 50 senior citizens living in a Tibetian old age home in Leh.

The Nargis Dutt Foundation had set up a Knitting Centre in Stok in 2019 to empower and train the women to make beautiful knitwear.

During the winter months due to the harsh weather, life in Stok comes to a complete standstill. This project has helped the women to earn a livelihood during the tourist season.
