Food kits were distributed to 200 families living in the tribal belt of Karjat. Some of the families were living deep in the mountains and could only be reached with local support.
All the families were facing a very tough time due to the lockdown. Each kit consisted of 5 kgs Atta, 2 kgs rice, 1 kg dal, 1 kg salt, 1 litre Oil, 100 gms Haldi, 100 gms Red chili powder, 250 gms Peanuts, 500 gms Suji, 1 kg Sugar. This kit will suffice a family of 4 for a month.
